Travel Info

Flying In

  • ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ABQ)

This is the largest airport in New Mexico, located in Albuquerque, and is where most people fly into. We highly recommend renting a car because the ceremony/reception will take place in the Santa Fe area which is a 1.5 hour drive from the airport.

  • SANTA FE AIRPORT (SAF)

You can also fly into Santa Fe, however this is a small airport with limited airline options.

Accomodations

Hotels

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at La Fonda on the Plaza. Just  mention the Sacks-Dunlap wedding when you book.

Otherwise, we also recommend:

Downtown/North Side (walkable)

Middle to Southside (need to drive)

Other Options

Santa Fe also has some great Airbnb’s - if you don’t want to stay at a hotel, we’d totally recommend taking a look.

Transportation

  • Think about how to get around! Santa Fe does have pretty regular access to ride shares like Uber and Lyft. Although there is parking in most places, it can be very hard to find downtown. Santa Fe is a very walkable city if you stay downtown.

Elevation

  • Santa Fe has very high elevation. Start drinking extra water a few days before your trip, and be sure to stay hydrated while you are here. The elevation will also cause you to feel the effects of alcohol faster. Please drink responsibly! You will feel the effects of alcohol quite a bit faster at higher elevation. Remember to take it slow while you adjust!

Plus-Ones

  • We have opted to have an adults-only wedding weekend.

Stuff to See in The Land of Enchantment

  • Bring some cash! There are several restaurants and bars that are cash only. There are also lots of independent street souvenir sellers that only accept cash.
